The Morning After

I am not going to be the first to say this nor the last – Congratulations to the Texas Rangers. They beat a team that closed their season with the best record in baseball this year.

The Texas Rangers were well prepared for the Tampa Bay Rays, who were out pitched, out fielded and out hit. They deserve the credit for winning their first post season game, ever. Now, they move forward.

Some, particularly in Tampa Bay, may wish to see them fail. I, however, hope they can continue to succeed. I WANT them to beat the Yankees. I WANT them to beat the National League’s best team this year. I WANT to say the Tampa Bay Rays were beat in the ALDS by the team that went on to be the World Series Champions. They earned it, they deserve it and they not only have a chance to win as they move forward, it would be fun to watch them play “small ball” against the odds and achieve that goal that so many others covet but now can only stand by and watch.

GO RANGERS!
